The penthouse was awesome. Did you take that video using your canon digital camera? Not your dv camera. Are you going to launch a new website layout? I think I saw something on your Windows XP screen capture. It looks cool. I wish I could have gone to Gnomedex. Maybe next year. Keep the videos coming.

Wow that penthouse is pretty snazzy! The video was pretty cool! Very good quality and it didn't take to long to load on dial-up. Congrats on having your own day! What an honour! It must feel nice to be recognized for all the effort that you have put into your work. You deserve it.

Here's a sure-fire money saver for Gnomedex 4.0: next year, let's just hold the convention in the penthouse! It's roughly the same size as the Convention Complex anyways. *grin*

Before your speech, I had always wondered what all this RSS “hooplah” was all about. I had never known the power of that little orange XML button that I usually ignored. I had actually taken the RSS feeds away from my blog, cause I thought they were useless. Boy, was I wrong! I am very surprised I haven't gotten into this sooner! And I am now proud to say my blog now has RSS feeds, and I now have NewsGator implemented into Outlook and I check it quite freqently. I now understand, and I love it. Thanks Chris!

I thought your talk was spectacular. Of course I'm a member of the choir, Mr. Preacher.
It wasn't until I started working on RERSS (my Ruby RSS library) that I really realized the possibilities it offered. It's so easy. One of the big goals of my project is to offer a standard library that developers can use to handle the lowdown dirty tasks of munging feeds so that that they can be assured their output is well-formed.
Of course that means more work for me since I have to support the boatload of feed formats out there, but I figure it's better *I* work a lot than *every* developer work a lot.
(shameless plug) Watch the development wiki over at http://rerss.alieniloquent.com/wiki.pl for details on my library as they emerge. It's a spare-time project and I don't have much spare-time, but I get something out every now and then.

Chris, your RSS talk was excellent. I don't think I've heard a better explanation of the benefits of RSS. I know lots of people who still don't get it. If we spot another chance for them to hear your sermon, I'll send them to sit in the pew.
