Good point. Sad to say, the midwest is good for corn, but that's about it. The people are pleasant enough, but without the higher intellect you'll find in Seattle. It's a good thing you got the heck out of the midwest or you would have gone crazy. It's simply not a good place for an independent thinker with any brains. I can see why you left California also–mostly fakes, and no real humanity there really. If we could just “wall off” Seattle from the rest of the country and keep 'em out (except you and Ponzi of course!), Seattle would be paradise even more. You are now among the technological elite, and the rest of the U.S. can't compare. A lot of non-Seattlites are going to be jealous of you Chris, being here at the technological apex, but don't let them knock you down. They just wish they had your shoes. From all of us, a big hearty welcome to our exclusive club.

Yep that is what I felt too when I left the Navy in 1993. The Pacific North West is home. Fort Lewis is my neighbor.
