Legally Binding

Well, I couldn't leave well enough alone. I kept thinking to myself: “I really like my handwriting on the page, but it's still not as personal as I'd want my personal portal to be. What if I fell back on something a little more familiar?” So, the dull yellow concept was borne. And, I successfully ported my handwriting font to OpenType - so OS X users (as well as Windows folk) should be able to view this blog in its full glory. You know where to look: the red pi in the sidebar. For the insanely lazy, here's a direct link. Fun, eh? Expect more construction on the sidebar from this point forward. At least, until I get bored again. That oughta be in another two hours, given this weekend's track record.

Sweeeeeeeet!

Mike said it all. :)

Your making me think of school gnome-boy. That's NOT a good thing! Although it's quite funky like a munky

Like I told you earlier on aim, you have ADHD.

oh sweet. i'm lovin it. : )

Looks mighty spiffy. I like the idea of the handwritting font. I was looking for a way to embed fonts awhile back, and I couldn't find anything.

Great layout. Especially once you get the font installed. I like how (at least on my browser) the test pretty much lines up with the lines on the “paper”. Great job :-)

Gotta say that I love the new design, and your handwriting as the font definitely adds a new twist. However, the blog is sort of messed up in 800×600 resolution (but I only use that on this one computer anyway).

Yeah it's groing on me too!

oops! it growing…

I'm liking the new look. Just a question though, what program did you use to create your font?

I like this design. Where is your webcam?

Pretty nice… just 2 things:
1) get a better logo
2) make the yellow a little bit lighter

Next project… teach all of us how to make fonts out of our handwriting and then our comments can be all individual. OK, maybe that's a little too much work, but it'd be cool right?

I like this alot.

Very personalized, nice work.

Wow I haven't seen a layout that inspired me in a very long time. It helps that I already had the font installed :)
“it's quite cool”

Ahh, I see you've already gotten the font problem under control, good! Completely ignore that previous e-mail then, Nice layout, by the way. It looks exactly like a legal pad.

I like this! :) I love how the font lines up with the pad too!

Dam…
Just reminded me that i need to go to school..
But i lik eit.

This is very cool. I like it alot better than the mock desktop.

Chris if you get bored, you can always fix a computer at home. You must have at least 3 or 4 “antique” pcs. I don't think you could improve your mac anymore though.

Looks good. A little tough to read at first, but I am getting used to it. I hate to say, better than the last, but I guess that's what I think. Please be kind and checkout my recent redesign of my “personal portal” -> http://www.thehutt.net/cdevroe/

the font doesn't quite line up with the pad on Chimera in OS X, but it's all good. I really like it, especially since I went through the trouble of downloading the font. ;)
I would agree with osmaker that the yellow could stand to be a tad lighter.

Might make reading easier if the pad was a lighter yellow. It's pretty bright at the moment.

wow! i had the idea to make a look like this for my site a while ago, but i had no idea how to tackle the font problem. now you've gone and done it! perhaps i can make my idea come to life now :)

this reminds me of the old dawson's creek diaries…
