Latin Planto Vos Vultus Sapiens
A few days ago, I told the Lockergnome clan that I was panelizing for SIPA’s ‘Blogging and Beyond’ session. In doing so, I got to meet folks like Anshu Sharma, Pradeep Sethi, Joe Suh, Gaurav Agarwal, Aditya Kothadiya, Ramit Sethi… as well as Rajesh Setty (who recently launched Suggestica). The event was pretty casual, which was much appreciated.
Experto crede, The Guy was amazing, too. Yes, I met THE Guy Kawasaki. He’s “genius level” a capite ad calcem, so my antics only served to bolster his ductus exemplo. My responses were more in the audere est facere flavor, while Guy remained fully compos mentis - waxing ex animo frequently. Even so, we moved discussion forward pari passu - remembering nemo nisi per amicitiam cognoscitur, nosce te ipsum. Odi et amo blogging - with opera omnia in the Web archives. And to all the would-be future bloggers out there, I give to you a single phrase: illegitimi non carborundum. Orta recens quam pura nites! If you have no idea why I’m scribbling in Latin, dictum sapienti sat est.

Man, these english to latin translators suck, but simple google searches uncovered the mystery:
Don’t Let the ******** Bring you Down, Newly Risen, How Brightly You Shine!
A pointing finger is enough for the wise woman/man.

Chris,
Thanks for the mention. It was an honor to meet you, and your comment “I can’t imagine that not spreading”, as casual as that was, meant a lot to me. I’ll shoot you a mail when we launch mychurch.org in a couple weeks…
BTW, check out Guy’s latest blog on everything you wanted to know about getting a job in the Silicon Valley. #11 on the list. Sounds like he was as influenced by you as you were by him! :)

humoring the crowd.  The thing that struck me most was that Chris was very honest, straightforward and open about his achievements, ad more importantly it sounded like one fun ride.   Chris has been very kind enough to mention me in one of his blogs, which has in turn helped me get some awesome traffic.  Thanks Chris!

Hi Chris,
It was great to listen to you. Thanks for the interesting stories about “the chest marketing” & “Why do men have…” :-)
Look forward to see you again.
