Laptop Screen Problems

http://live.pirillo.com/ - This caller has a laptop whose screen will not work at all. However, hooking up a monitor via a VGA port on the laptop does work.
If the VGA connected monitor works, then the problem is most likely the connection between your laptop screen, and your motherboard. I’m sure the video card is good, or else the external monitor wouldn’t work, either. If Windows is booting fine, and external monitor works, you have a bad connection. Either it broke… or came loose. You can try to fix it yourself, but I don’t recommend that unless you’re very familiar with the hardware inside your laptop. Your best bet is to either take it to a technician, or call for on-site support if you still have it from your manufacturer.
