Although my KP3 has built in synth generator programs, they generally arn't useful in my opinion for creating skill-based, organised compositions. Seeing as the Kaossilator is primarily synth generators, I personally wouldn't get one as a musician, although for an entry level musician or someone wanting a bit of fun making electronica loops this may be a good purchase.
