Okay, Maui – we're ready to start our first full day. It can't begin without a good cup of coffee, though – and not just any cup of coffee. Hawaii is “famous” for its kona coffee, isn't it? Last night, we asked our waiter where we might find good coffee on the island, and his first suggestion was Starbucks. Yeah, Starbucks has good coffee like McDonald's has good hamburgers! This morning, I called the concierge and asked (again) for good coffee. She responded with a giggle and confirmed that I wasn't talking about Starbucks. Finally, we were beginning to get somewhere. I narrowed my request by asking for 100% pure kona coffee – none of this 10% blend bullshit. Turns out, there's a “Hawaiian Coffee Company” a few blocks away. I'll report back after I've had a taste. We've got a busy day ahead of us.
