Kicking the Coffee Habit

It's true. I'm selling my Capresso Coffee Machine and accompanying Burr Grinder. As the sales page says, I've owned the Capresso MT500 for a little over a year now, and it's treated me well. To accompany this is the Chrome Infinity Conical Burr Grinder – better than your average grinder (as it doesn't produce heat when grinding). This is a very sad day in my life, but it has to happen. Genetics are getting the best of me.
I fell in love with coffee a few years ago (while I was still living in Iowa). By the time I reached San Francisco, I had more coffee in me than blood. It caught up to me after the second Gnomedex, but I didn't quit. Despite my high stress levels, I couldn't kick the Peet's. I wasn't sure what was making me feel so flighty, and I couldn't bring myself to blame the caffeine. I know I was consuming too much of it, and that habit followed me all the way down to LA – when I upgraded my Bodum to the Capresso.
You might remember, I got off the juice about a year ago – and that pretty much lasted until the holiday season (when I got hooked on peppermint mochas). I was able to live with it for a few months, but then the really weird feelings started to return… and it's time to swear off this stuff for good. It's just not in my genetic code, as evidenced by my parents' recent weight loss after they dropped caffeine. I can even feel the caffeine in decaf, folks – I've become THAT sensitive to it.
So, I'm selling the coffee equipment. Any Takers?

Chris – I recently made the switch from the Java Beans to the Leaves of Tea. The Green Teas and White Teas have good mojo (antioxidants) and are naturally low to no caffeine. Check out http://stashtea.com/index.shtml
Also, it's in your neck of the woods (or mouth of the woods?) Oregon.
Good luck going through rehab — this is a tough drug to beat!

You fool! There is no escaping the dark-roasted side of the force.
Many have tried, and ALL have failed. Including me. You'll be back. :-(
