Keyboard Mapping Software

Recently my keyboard has been acting up. My left CTRL key is being recognized as the home key and everything is just a giant mess.
My question is: Is there any program that I could use or something in Windows XP that can reset my Keyboard Configurations, or is this a hardware problem?
One thing you may want to check is inside your control panel: the Regional and Language Options applet. Click the keyboard button and double check that your native language is selected. You can also adjust a lot of setting from within this applet
If that does not work, you may need to search Google for a keyboard remapping tool, which will allow you to remap your keys on your keyboard.

It can do all kinds of neat stuff, including simple remapping of the keyboard. For example I have remapped my CapsLock to be a mouse click with this line:
Capslock::LButton
And because of another config line, when I write “cheers” and press Return, all of this appears automagically:

Aghhhhhhhhh
My left crtl button now mutes and unmutes my computer!!!!
i four key now types “45″
And my right arrow key has a space added to it!!!!
How do i fix this?
I was gaming when it happend and there is no spyware how can this happen?
