Jim Allchin on Windows Vista Beta 2
With Beta 2 of Windows Vista announced at WinHEC today, we’re finally in the home stretch for the next operating system from Microsoft. Chris has been looking at the on-site Beta 2 builds with his astutely critical eye and finding a few things he likes (as well as a number of existing concerns). Jim Allchin was on hand to field questions about Windows Vista. We snagged a few minutes with Jim to talk about what the world can expect to see between Beta 2 and RTM, what kind of Windows user Jim considers when combing through the operating system, a few of the features he insisted on seeing in the next revision, and whether he thinks Chris should run Windows Vista Beta 2 on his production system.
