Jakks TV Games at Showstoppers

If you’ve walked in the vicinity of the toy aisles in your favorite retail outlet, chances are you’ve seen something made by Jakks Pacific. The company makes action figures, video games, back-to-school supplies and a whole host of other fun-themed products. What catches my eye every time I cruise by Thomas and Friends, the Star Wars line of toys Bratz and board games is the section with blister packs wrapping controllers that look just like the game console joysticks from my childhood. Atari 2600 and arcade-style Pac-Man are right next to a controller shaped like SpongeBob and the Spiderman themed controllers. Jakks happens to make these games too, in addition to an assortment of Disney and Nickelodeon games for kids of all ages. At the Showstoppers event at CES 2006, Chris interviewed Jakks Creative Director about the past and future of their TV Games line of entertainment.
