A few years ago, I created a dingbats font called Skellingtonbats. Not bad for the time, but looking at it now, I'm embarassed. The problem is: I don't have a fantastic tracing program, so I'm stuck with finding simple images on the Web and converting 'em to 2-color BMPs from there. I found a couple of semi-suitable images last night during a Nightmare Before Christmas search and decided to give 'er another go. Without further ado, here's a slightly more usable “Jack Skellingtonbats” TTF and OTF for your usage this Halloween season. I did my best with the stamps; it's difficult to emulate shading with fonts. Now I have to notify all the great NMBC sites out there, although most of 'em seemed to have disappeared?! Put a little Nightmare Before Christmas onto your desktop now with Jack Skellington… and his batty dingbats:

I can't wait to fire up Halloweentown and watch The Nightmare Before Christmas on my new home theater. The only thing I'm missing is Oogie Boogie in surround sound. Next year, perhaps?
