I've Got Major Wood

Can't seem to get this wooden “table” background to look like wood without it getting in the way of the topside content. Well, I'm not changing it for now – and if you think it's supposed to be anything other than a table (upon which my yellow pad sits), then that's your prerogative.

I think that's awesome! You know what'd be really cool, maybe somewhere in the top right corner where there's some open space, you could put a coffee cup ring on the table, maybe on a napkin.

Nice blog Chris. Are you going to not use Textamerica anymore?

LOL Chris…. looks good to me, maybe you could try that gold stars on white linolieum thing my grammy had on her counters and dinner table back in the day??? Add a few olive colored canisters and and almond refrig and your make my heart warm thinking back to the days…..
Anyway, nice wood, but Im more the mahogany type… LOL

Ugh! I thought you would finally ditch the ugly notepad with the redesign. Cool idea, but it's tiring after a short time.
Otherwise, looks good!

It definitely a change … may take some time to get used to. The use of the Blogware for comments may prove to be irritating to some. That thing never seems to remember passwords.

I like the yellow notepad and the woody background. Don't listen to the guy who said ditch the yellow notepaper.

I like the new design. The layout is sharp and there really isn't any wasted space. Nice change, Chris

Even though I hate the yellow notepad, it doesn't matter. I read my content with via RSS.
:)

I thought it was a door, looked for a doorknob. A table is seldom viewed from directly above, it should be in perspective, a coffee cup or a pencil would also break the door illusion.
But otherwise the whole thing rocks. Notepad font takes some getting used to but I think it should stay.

To be honest, the wood doesn't look very much like a table at all…more like the yellow pad is posted on a wooden wall. :) But I like the new look, more navigation-friendly.
