At times I love the iphone and at times i hate it

its got a lot of features that i like a lot, but the big thing that makes me regret buying one is the no media messaging…its like come on apple, they make almost the ultimate phone but they leave out a feature that every phone has (well almost all), free phones from carriers have this features, but they couldn’t fit it into the already expensive price tag of the iPhone.

I think that that is a very wise decision, and anyone considering the iPhone should watch this before buying it. They also need to ask a friend who has it and test before buying it.

comon chrisyou are just pointing out their great features! the moving icon lets you move the icon orders and you can tap twice and zoom in with 1 finger and the texting stay together for easy readability! are u joking?

I disagree… I went from a Cingular HTC 8124 to an iPhone. I love it! No problems with web usage, the zoom mechanics don’t bother me the least, finger zooming is fine with me.

The icons jiggling is generally a sign that you’ve asked the iPhone to re-arrange the screen (by holding down on an icon for a couple seconds). If it does it on it’s own as you say, perhaps it’s time to back up and reset (gee – sounds like Windows!).

I like the threads – it’s quite intuitive to me and I don’t have to open and close a series of msgs to overview a longer running series.

The squiggling icons, just hit the home key once. That’ll correct it. You simply held down too long on an icon and entered the “move icons to a new page” mode.

I don’t know if you are serious but I wish you would have had this rant before I bought one because this phone is a joke! I’m assuming you are kidding about the jiggling icons and maybe this is an April fools joke but I bought the iphone to replace my palm treo 750 when it fell off a 6th floor balcony and I wasn’t eligible for an upgrade.

The 750 blew this piece of junk away. Fully useable keyboard, high speed internet, much easier to handle with one hand, interchangeable media and battery, better battery life, better reception, useable worldwide. The iphone is a cute toy for children and for apple flunkies, not a serious alternative to any other smart phones on the market.

Incidently, I have heard on CNBC that they called 20 stores and were not able to get iphones. They are speculating that a thinner new version with 3G will be released early.

Forgot to mention the fact that you have to hack the phone and void the warranty to add a search tool even though they put the search tool in the interface to find a person to text message. What is up with that????
