taxes to the federal government. Properly maintained and intelligently driven it CAN get it’s advertised mileage. How many people do you know who can go 550 miles on $30 worth of gas? If every car delivered 55 mpg, the Saudi’s would be left to drink their oil. Chris, just to put things in perspective for you and your fellow countrymen…
Gasprices over here in the Netherlands are literally skyrocketing.
1 litre of gas will cost you 1.46 Euro. Which is about 1.81 USD.
1 gallon = 3.785 litres * 1.46 Euro = 5.53 Euro which equals about 6.88 USD per gallon.
How'd ya like them apples ? ;-)

Here in Iowa, we get a break if we use Ethanol mixed and it's hovering at 3 bucks per gallon, but has been as high as 3.20 just before the holiday. I'm not sure what the “Regular” fuel is going for because I never use it any more.

I'm in Tampa, Florida. The cheapest gas in my area is $2.89/gallon for the lowest octane. $3.09 for the highest. Though, the average is around $3.19 at this point.

Generally the ARCOs in Seattle have the cheapest gas unless it right next to say I-5. The one at 85 and Aurora or 105th and Aurora are cheaper than anything else around. There is one thing they have done which is a bit grumpy. The used to charge a $0.35 fee to pay via ATM but they just raised prices to $0.45. Sometimes you can find the local 7-11 that has cheap gas. Down in Auburn, Wa I find that gas is $0.05 cheaper than in Seattle so I will fill up whenever I am in the burbs.

If the government would let us dig near the ocean we could get more oil and prices would probably go down.

Gas is close to $4.00 throughout most of the San Francisco Bay Area for regular, and more than $4.00 for premium. I think Borok Obama is correct in that, the move to resend the gas tax for one weekend is just a tactic that will take away money needed for maintaining our roads and bridges, along with the jobs of many of those who maintain that infrastructure on a daily basis.

In my country, Croatia, we pay 9kunas, almost 2$ for a liter of a gas. And that is cheap if you compare with other gas companies, around Croatia. And we have our own gas factory, on the sea!
It’s stupid, that we should give so many money, for the energy
