It seems that there is a fairly consistent definition of “one who deliberately posts an incorrect or inflamatory statement to attract the ire of newbies and flamers”. if you make a statement on a journal, blog or any other type of public forum and you give your readers the ability to post there comments/opinions, you should be aware that the response you get may not always be favorable. everyone has an opinion. chris you of all people should know this. ofcourse now, after having read your post today, it appears that your intentions were strictly to stir the pot a bit. yeah, im sorry i don't buy that.

Chris has long been a total jerk. I enjoyed Lockergnome for many years, but then Chris changed. No need for excuses. We all deal with trolls, spam and stupid people. His ego I can do without. But his knowledge about blogging, RSS, etc is still useful no matter what his attitude is.

Hey Guys, why all of the fuss? I know from experience that Chris is a nice guy. My roomate talks to Chris using iChat fairly often and he is a good guy. So I suggest you leave him alone.

There are times when we all feel a bit off or down. Most of the time, that's when you get to know who your friends really are. Those who understand you and are patient with you.
Although, we all are not really acquainted with each other, why not give everyone room to breath and vent out frustrations and what not.
Tomorrow or a few days after this, we all can laugh about it. Probably Chris just lost one of his GBK Cards or something.

All I'm going to say is that I believe Chris left of his own free will, but I believe there was tension that he couldn't deal with. He was always wound up as it was, but in watching CFH AND TSS religiously, I always felt there was some tension between Cat Schwartz and Chris. Plus I am sure Chris didn't get brownie points on the times he would call over to the TSS set with his “I know more than you do” attitude and correct something they made a comment on. Nobody is perfect, even Chris Pirillo. He's OK, but he's not perfect.
