Try www.BaxBex.com for the image thumbnail problem. They have a program claled Shell Picture that will put one in the context menu for you. And not just images but a couple dozen formats, I believe. Shareware, so you can try it out and see if it does it for you

Try asking the LazyWeb : so far my own requests there have perhaps been about 50% fulfilled by existing apps - some of them very obscure or specific requirements.

As for recently used programs, you could use RdocEx that shows your recently used apps in the Recent Documents menu. http://mlin.net/misc.shtml

For a desktop RSS ticker, CoolMon (coolmon.arsware.org) has a module that reads RSS feeds which you can display on the desktop. So, you can display as many feeds on your desktop as you have room for. Another way to do it is use a coolmon scroller module. Point the RSS feeds to the scroller and it will scroll through the feeds.

Chris. There was a cool utility called ButtonBoogie released by PCMag that would allow you to reorganize the order of the items in your taskbar. It worked on 9x and Win2k but not on XP. Do you know of anything else that might do the same thing?
Thanks...

Chris, don't forget to add thumbnail list for email recipients while your making a wish list.
1. It must be available in all apps & explorer windows, INCLUDING the start menu
AND
2. must have the option to sort by most recently emailed & most frequently emailed, over variable time periods.
the fact that the obvious is always late being actualized should give hope to dreamers everywhere.
you can't outdream me, but you're welcome to try.
