Is Watermelon Mother Nature’s Viagra?
Wow. I don’t know how to lead off into this one, but there’s a new study suggestion that watermelon may have a Viagra-like effect on males. The research comes from Texas A&M’s Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Center. I suppose they already have millions of test subjects – those of us who enjoy a good slice of watermelon now and again. I tossed the link to my friends to get their thoughts the other day:
shot in the dark with this but, i'm guessing you eat it. call me crazy… – Outsanity
Actually my father in-law who lives near Puerto Vallarta Mexico swears by Yaca if anyone is truly interested. http://banderasnews.com/0501/h… – Mark Krynsky

At least the story isn't about bananas. :) – Morton Fox
:-) – Mitchell Tsai
So the little blue pill is being replaced by the big green melon? – Tim via Alert Thingy

I wonder if my wife read about this. There is half a watermelon in the fridge that was not there yesterday. – JA Castillo
saw that on the news – problem is – it's the RIND you have to eat. You know, the gross green part? And no idea how much of it. Although apparently they're working on a genetically 'improved' watermelon with the chemical factor in the red part. :\ – Lucretia Pruitt
Sounds fruity, I know – but there’s something to be said in… hey, wait a second? Did my wife leave a comment in this thread?!

I don't even want to know what I have to do to a watermelon for that effect…that's what the story says right? I haven't clicked. – Mark Krynsky
