Unfortunately, MMORPGs have gotten out of hand. :( My brother is avid about them, and it impacts on his work. Shame.

I played WoW (World of Warcraft) for a few months and had a ton of fun. I decided to quit because it was too addictive for me and was impacting my real life. I went cold turkey, it was hard for the first week, but have not given it much thought since.

I as a WoW player really think that MMORPGs are not getting out of hand, but they do need to be fixed in many aspects. MMORPGs bring much more then a game to so many people all around the world.

I do believe that MMORPG’s are a big part of the internet, although not very useful to the real world, I think it can help with social skills and friend making. If you get addicted to an MMORPG and you sleep and breathe the game, then I think it can get out of hand. The best thing to do if that happens is to uninstall the game or just not play it.
