iPod Skin Recommendations

For argument's sake, what's the best iPod skin to get – and where? I'm not saying I have an iPod or that I want an iPod, I'm just curious to know (just in case someone asks in the future). Something protective for the casing as well as the screens. Leather or plastic, it doesn't matter at this point. I hear Tunewear is okay, but I can't seem to find a good vendor in the US. Let's get even more specific and ask for a 5G iPod (Video) protective skin. Thoughts?

Did you seriously not just email and ask me? :P
You have a plethora of options – I would go with an iSkin, or a Vaja, if it is for drop protection. If you are looking for scratch protection, grab a Pod Shield from TrendyGeek. You can't even tell your iPod has a protective covering on it with those.

I know why you are asking. :P
PS – Glad you posted this because guess who got a Video iPod for her birthday? :)

I can't remember the make, but I have one of the thicker translucent rubber skins. It protects like crazy, and has enough friction to ensure that it doesn't slide around when I put it on the console in my car. However, it makes the iPod a lot thicker, and virtually impossible to slide into my back pocket.

I have an iSkin protecting my 40GB 4G. It comes with a little plastic cover for the screen. Aside from the airholes in the back (to dissipate heat) and the openings for the clickwheel and controls on top, it covers the entire device.

If you're just wanting something to protect from debris/scratching, not cushioning or style, then the
invisibleSHIELD looks good.

Try the invisible shield. Watch the video they have on how this thing protects. It's totally amazing!!

I really like my iPod socks.
No additional scratches since I've started using them about 9 months or so back.
Might be too big for the iPod video though…
