Interview with Nat Torkington at Where 2.0

Posted by

Where 2.0 brought a number of important conversations about mapping and geo-location under one roof. One of the key people making it happen is Nat Torkington of O’Reilly, who played gracious host for both days of the event. Chris talked briefly to Nat at the end of the first day about his vision for the conference and what the future holds for mapping. Following the conversation with Nat, Chris talks to John Frank of MetaCarta, a company doing some seriously cool stuff with organizing documents by the locations discussed in the documents. MetaCarta currently serves the corporate markets and government agencies with geo-location intensive research, but the possibilities for using MetaCarta as a tool for enhanced localization information are also a key topic in this interview.
