We must also recognize that lawyers will find a way to pass blame for failure to some source besides themselves if something happens while using IM from a source other than the host. We must also recognize the issue of one company being held to a higer or lower standard than the IM source or being held hostage to perform some unique ritual to use 'my IM' through your web site and not mine. Yes I feel compelled to try GoogleTalk, but frankly I'm really disappointed that they didn't launch the beta with some kind of connector to at least Y!, AIM, or MSN.
