Indiana Jones Rides HD-DVD into the Windows Vista Timeframe
Chris talks about why he is no longer running Windows Vista Beta 1 on his laptop. In spite of his frustrations, Chris speaks with optimism about the future of Windows in the Vista timeframe. We talk about the likelihood of Windows Vista running on my HP laptop and why you really need an ATI or Nvidia graphics card with 128MB of RAM to get the “Glass” experience of Windows Vista. The discussion shifts to Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD and Microsoft and Intel announcing support for the latter format. Will this become another Beta vs. VHS war with Sony on the losing side with a better format? Before we close this hour of the show, we touch on the future Star Wars TV series, juxtaposed against the Young Indiana Jones series.
