How come several areas of the of LWD have not been updated since 12/26/01? I miss my Bits and Bytes. I have sent emails to Questions / Help but only get the auto reply. [Things should be back to normal now that Adam's arm has healed.]
Remember in your comments about California that San Francisco and Los Angeles do not reflect the culture in most of California. [Yeah, but I have an addiction to overgeneralizing.]
I tried the blogging tool that you spoke about in your Windows newsletter. It appears that their template server has been down for most of the day. I really like the idea of having a web log like this that I can send all my friends and family to for updates and family news and such mental drivel. [You understand blogging more than you realize.]
Oh my God, how cute is Millbrae? I stopped at the Mailboxes Etc. there to mail the iPaq. What a great place!! Let's look there for a new place this summer. [Thanks, Gretchen. Do they have broadband?]
You've got to stop drinking that coffee that's made by soaking the grits in boiling water for hours! Drips really are best! Ask your doctor, drip coffee doesn't have the sludge that cakes up your veins, so Please! Grandma begs you to stop drinking sludge, no matter how good it tastes! [Can I have some ice cream with my vein cake, please?]
I suggest that you implement the notifications feature on chris.pirillio.com the same way Leo has on leoville.com – where people can enter their e-mail address and receive e-mail every time you post, for those who just canÂ’t get enough Pirillio. I bet you could get a lot of subscribers overnight with a plug in Windows Daily as well. Just a thought. [I don't know. Are you saying that you can't get enough of me? Gretchen doesn't even say that. Anymore.]
Wish I could help Gretchen on the job front, but neither of my two friends who live in the bay area work in areas where they hear about job openings. Both are doctors in private practice, unfortunately. I'll ask them again to keep an ear out, though. [She's not a doctor, but she did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.]
We sure miss all of you – and the kids really miss Sprocket… so last month, Mike and Denise went to the Animal Rescue League and adopted a precious little puppy. We think she is a mix of Jack Russell terrier and sheltie. She is only 4 months old and loves to sit in our laps. We have named her Oreo. [Adorable! I wish I could post the photo for everyone to see, but we're still having server load problems. I would have named her Nutter Butter, but that's just me.]
