I'm Not That Guy
- No related posts
To appease Robyn, I'm blogging tonight. I was just thinking about how my schedule doesn't allow for much blogging at the present moment. I'm either busy with Lockergnome, TechTV, or any other project in between. Like, my dad wanted me to put up a site for his Iowa senate campaign. I'm using the front of Pirillo.com, although I'm still not thrilled with the way it's turning out. He wants a red, white, and blue theme – and I've yet to be creatively inspired.
Gretchen microwaved me some bacon, and I fried up some eggs (in ghee / clarified butter). It's now about 8PM and I feel like I've done nothing all evening. I might head up to Starbucks *gasp* to chill out for a while. Yeah, I hate the coffee – but they've got a pretty nice atmosphere. If I could find another nice coffee shop that was CLOSER, I'd go. Let's see if G wants to head out with me, shall we? If she doesn't want to go, there's really no point in me going. I don't wanna be the weird single dude in the flannel.

Used to be the weird single guy in flannel. Then I married my wife and found out that wearing flannel all the time wasn't quite as cool as I thought it was. Drink one for me, Chris!

Chris,
I'm serious. Go to Starbucks and order a Grande Iced Tazo Chai, non-fat. Worth running over your own family for.
Rick.

You know, you dont' have to do everything I ask of you…but it sure is nice. ;-) Welcome back — I missed ya' around here! And glad to know you like flannel, btw. Good men still wear it. That's how I met my husband. We were busy eyeing and admiring each other's J. Crews. I knew I would make the shirt mine someday…thankfully a kick-ass husband and my best friend for life went with it!

You know … you're not just blogging for her. You're blogging for all of us. :) When we were swappin' e-mails last night I was thinking about how I missed your writing here…

Rick, you are on a mission, man! You might want to give up the chai effort, though. *grin* As long as it's got sugar in it, Chris won't drink it.
And I have to disagree with you on the worth running your family over for. *wink* Hell, I'll drink sweet stuff, but I can't even stomach Starbucks' chai… WAAAAAAAAY too sweet for me. I prefer the spicy stuff as opposed to sweet… ever tried Celestial Seasonings Mountain Chai? (The black tea stuff, not the green tea version. *gag*) Now that's got a kick…
