I'm High On Shelf Life
What has hemp seeds, honey, almonds, brazil nuts, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, puffed amaranth, and sea salt? A freakin' hemp bar - with “High Quality Protein” and “Omega 3 & 6 Oils.” It didn't taste too bad, either. If only it didn't have honey. I've been looking for a good low-carb, non-hydrogenateed, natrually-sweetened (or non-sweetened) snack bar to grab when I'm on the go. This thing was still a little too carby (16g). Ziggy Marley endorses it, too. I suppose that's better than munching on something endorsed by Moon Unit Zappa, huh? Speaking of, I'm hungry again. I don't know why. Oh, who cares. Pass the low-carb, non-hydrogenateed Cheetos.

Cheetos are low-carb? About a year ago, I noticed that I was developing a pudgy belly and was starting to look a little thick. I had always been so damn skinny, but those days were quickly coming to an end. I began watching my carbs and dropped weight like a mad man.
So, to answer Anthony… yeah, he's a thin guy. Probably cuz he watches his carbs. :)

I've moved toward a lower carb diet myself, though not to the extreme that Chris has adopted. I finally made the painful transition over to diet soda, and can tolerate it now, but it forces me to drink more water along the way, which always helps.
The main driving force in this was energy level and completely whacked out sleeping habits. I kid you not, I can sleep for 14 straight hours and not think twice about it. Cutting out a chunk of the sugar and other simple carbs has helped quite a bit. I can still sleep for long periods of time like I did toward the end of last week, but it's much easier to get myself back on track. And I still get to munch on at least a few sweets now and again…

1. Cheetos are not low carb.
2. Diet soda actually makes you fatter. :) Drop it altogether.

Diet soda is okay for a treat..say a can a week. I wouldnt recommend putting all that artificial sweetener in your body anyways:)
As for the low carb thing, I watch my carbs, I am not neurotic about it, but I do workout every day for an hour a day, that helps me stay fit!
I have never been able to completely stick to a diet. Its hard..thats why I work out:)

Ok so you just have to watch the carbs, right? Is it better than TV. Anyone got any new stupid carb tricks?
hehe

A can or two of diet soda per day is far better than the 4 or 5 cans of Pepsi that I was drinking. I may eventually cut it out entirely, but it's tough to find things other than water to drink without getting sugar along the way… and before you say it… I hate coffee… unless it has lots of sugar, that is. :)

Diet Cola is a tool of the devil. It's like those corn-fed ladies I see shopping all the time buying fully-hydrogenated Cheetos, chocolate cake, Oreos, and Diet Coke. Yup.
Drink regular Coke. Sweet, sweet regular Coke. Strong enough for a man…
