The average rain fall in November in Seattle is 5.8 inches. Depending on where you are in Maui county you could be in for a lot more! Haleakala averages 10.82 inches in November, Hana 6.31, Wailuku 7.96, Puu Kukui is way up there at 50 inches. Other places are lower like Kapalua with 3.93 or Lahaina with 1.02 so bring a jacket and a bumpershoot. You may escape our lovely grey days but you are very incorrect about escaping the rain. You should also consider snorkeling Molokini if you have time. Also a must is a trip to Hookipa beach on the north shore which may be the #1 windsurfing beach in the world. Maui as I recall is only about 120 miles around but probably has more great beaches than anywhere else on earth. I know you'll have a great time.
