I read an article on it not too long ago, but basically you keep yourself busy, and you procrastinate on one "big" project by taking care of all the other little projects. Right now I'm procrastinating studying for a professional exam, as well as fixing up a web page, and making a bog post or two. I agree with the mysterious voice, on active procrastination. I think I have used it before subconsciously. I doubt that I will ever stop procrastinating, so this method works for me. As a boy scout, you have to complete a service project to become an eagle scout. All requirements for this rank must be finished before turning 18. I procrastinated and finished a week before my 18th birthday. Everybody was bugging me, and it wasn't fun. I would have been much happier if the project had been done 2 summers ago, when I had tried to start it. This would have given me plenty of time to relax and earn extra merit badges. Don't procrastinate work just so you can have fun now. If you get the work done sooner, you have more control over how you schedule. A big plus is that adults/people won't hover around you when the due date is approaching and you haven't finished yet. A topic I knew i would enjoy researching but didn't like doing research papers. I had tons of cards to organize but waited until the very last night.. and stood up till 4 am .. "Even did it in pencil!" and handed it in. I knew it had to get done so I forced myself to do it. If I did bad on it, I would have failed the grade but I got a 95%! would have got a 98% or 100% if I typed it and fixed grammar but left it as is cause it was done and over with to me.
