IE7 UI is Probably Going to Suck
Here's the problem with Daniel Glazman's IE7b2 UI report: he's spot-on. Major “ouches” to Microsoft. I didn't want to agree with him, given that he hasn't quite developed a killer experience in NVU - but he's really right, and it's really sad:
In terms of UI, this IE 7 beta 2 certainly does not feel like a beta, id est something not far away from final version. The whole UI seems unpolished and is sometimes very inconsistent.
It really seems the graphics design - and even more iconography - is done without general direction, reusing bits coming from elsewhere, without graphical charter.
Overall, and if I compare Firefox 1.0 or Firefox 1.5 and IE7b2, Firefox is far ahead of IE in terms of usability, accessibility, extensibility.
My guess is that when IE7 goes gold, more people will be driven to start using Firefox. Thank *GOD* for Maxthon.

Thus far, the RSS usability is their only saving grace.

Chris what a pointless post and comment. Firstly IE7 is not that bad and Firefox not that good. I use FF because of the add-ins more than the browser app itself. I really hate people like you who are always negative about others as if what you have to say matters. When have you ever stick your own neck out by developing a business that others can critique? You'll probably prove me wrong and say you invented something for a well known software company of some real value and because of your name and fame I am sure I am supposed to know this well known fact anyway. But as for Gada.be who the hell has ever heard about it, I certainly have never used it and nor has anyone outside of the USA self congratulating digerati - scoble, winer, gillmor gang, canter etc.
My point is this why do you think you can criticise Microsoft about their limited products when you have achieved zip diddly swot yourself other than deriving over $20k per moth from Google from their advets.
