I Installed Firefox

I'm sure IE7 will be fantastic when it's ready for public consumption, but in being “stuck” with Windows Vista for the time being, I'm also “stuck” with a beta copy of Microsoft's next browser. I'm running into far too many page rendering issues with the IE7 beta – coupled with the general window and tab shortcomings, I just found myself downloading and installing Firefox 1.5 on my laptop. Damn, it's faster – visibly faster. I feel so dirty. Are you happy, Asa?

Finally!!! I thought this day would never come!! Now the only thing you have to do is drop MS completely ;)

I've been trying to tell you for a while now that Firefox is the way to go, Chris ;P

Why “dirty?”
Do you feel like you're cheating?
But given the propensity of IE to pick up unhealthy stuff, playing with Firefox is like having tea & biscuits with the wholesome girl next door. It's IE that is like visiting a hooker in a flea invested room at the end of a dark alley!

I liked Opera. Then I tried the new 8.04 Netscape. It has a lot of good features. Form filling like roboforms. Adding sites to trusted or resricted ala Ms powertoy that allows me to do this with a right click(Always wonder how many know about this great powertoy).I use it all the time. Still all in all I still prefer to use IE because with the security I have set up, I don't feel that any of the others could be as secure. My antivirus, firewall, (checked with shields up for stealth) Winpatrol,Spywareblaster,Spybot,Adaware, etc,

Chris, what about the Opera browser? Have you given that a try?

Oh, dearest Chris. You will be ok. I know these are hard times, but you'll come through the other side – unscathed. In times like these we should remember the old saying “What Doesn't Kill Us Will Only Make Us Stronger”.
Godspeed, Chris. Godspeed.

Chris, if you want Firefox to become faster still, install the Fasterfox (http://fasterfox.mozdev.org/) extension. Honestly, you'll be surprised at the difference.

Why dirty? It's a tool.
OMG I'm using a Lawn mower, so dirty! :-)

You'd be even more surprised with Opera. It's faster, uses less resources, is more secure, more stable, and more customizable than Firefox.
