I Hate IE6!

I don't know what's causing the anomaly, but apparently people with Internet Explorer 6.0 (SP1) are having issues with viewing this page. If the text / graphics are coming up blurry, I apologize. It's annoying! UPDATE: I think I've fixed the blur problem, but now it seems someone's messed with my color palette! UPDATE II: The blur is back, and now my page keeps ejecting CD trays. UPDATE III: I've fixed the CD-ROM bug, but I can't seem to lick the blur. UPDATE IV: The CD ejector problem has returned, and will not go away until the comments stream for this post hits 150 entires from unique visitors. UPDATE V: Looks as though the blur has gone away. However, now I can't view my blog unless I have a mirror and I stand on my head while using it. UPDATE VI: This page is no longer upside-down. UPDATE VII: My wife is officially 0wned; look now or forever not understand what this means.

ah! Chris I didn't *burp* know that you had a twin can I have another shot of Tequila! *burp*

I logged onto your page 20 mins. ago and it looked great, then it just fuzzed up. Weird. :-0 I thought it was me getting a little PC eyestrain…but IE tool bars were loud and clear. I've been experiencing other probs w/IE6. I click on a link shortcut on the desktop and a minimized IE window pops up along with the desired page. Kind of two for the price of one. Whats up with that?!? Break out the Mozilla.

Thank feck for that - I thought me eyes were shot after a long night re-writing my media training materials.
*phew*
Oh - and I hate IE6 too, not least because it is the crashingest heap of bloatware I've ever lived it. Brings my machine down 4-7 times every single goddam day.

Trippy.

Oh.
Just checked your template.
I now suspect that Ms. Lavigne's fish of having something to do with this.
Yes - it's the Poisson d'Avril again.

Hey! Where'd my lovely piece of detective work go??? *grumble grumble* :)

Great prank! You're going to have to explain how you did it later. ;)

I had one up my sleeve as well… ;-)

It makes me wanna use an RSS reader even more. ;)

I think I need to go see my optometrist tomorrow. These coke bottle glasses I have needs to be converted to Binoculars. :(

A P R I L F O O L S ! ! !

Well, I was on your webcam page and all the color went away.

Verryy Blurry. I'm using Avant Browser (more or less IE). I've got no problem with other pages that I'm viewing. When your page is d/loading, it's okay. Once it finally d/loaded. It turned up blurry n freaky! Is it because of your font? This comment page looks okay… :S

One more thing, the page scrolling is a bit sluggish. Not as smooth as usual.

April Fools. It is now blurry.

oops haha sorry I didn't read your post Noah.. you got to it before me! :)

Ok.. I think I know what it is. I am drunk. ;p Naaah, I know what it is. It's your font. When I 1st came on here, the right side of your blog loaded just fine. THEN, as the blog itself loaded, the side with the Chris Pirillo font, that's when it got all blurry. I would suggest temporarily parting with this font until you can figure out what's up. I cant scroll very well on here either. Whatcha doing to me?! Or is this an April Fool's joke??! ;)

Oh my! I guess I have had too much of a good thing! ;-D

Hmmm…this page looks unusually crappy! I will have to deleted your link in my RSS Feeds. Oh yeah, Strongsad says hes a big fan and that he thinks that if you put visine in your eyes it helps out a little bit. Got trees? OK, later

I will hunt you down and use you as a good sacrifice at my next tribal meeting. I ALREADY NEED glasses and four-eyes, you're making it worse.
I hate you. ;)

Oh. I thought it was one of those 3D pictures. I was trying to find the bunny rabbit.

whoa this is like the twilight zone…

I told my programmers to fix the damn bugs in IE…

ROFL at Bill Gates….you got a couple people! Okay, I have to admit, you had me too until I saw Dale's post :D

Hey, metafilter.com changed the look of their home page to look like google. Its cool. view it instead of chris's page. =Þ

That is fun at eight in the morning…I thought I had drank too much last night!

Im viewing this on IE on a G4 Workstation. Looks fine to me. Got the viewers good with that blur feature Chris. Great job! =)

Thanks for fixing it. Its been blurry for months and I can finally read it. Now if the content wasn't blurry….

April Fool? lololol

looks like there is a drop shadow on everything.

Glad I keep Mozilla installed… I really want to know how this was done :) Wait… I think I see the bunny.

As cool as this is, the funniest part is some of the comments. :)
Awesome!

gotta love the blur()

And I thought it was just me.

possibly a missile (from hussein's misguided people) has gone awry and is interfering with Chris's output! I wouldn't jump all over IE6. I have never had problems with it-other than those I created myself.

Ew, I didn't think I had THAT many chocolate martinis. x-)

You scared the **** out of me, man! I just woke up, and thought I was going blind or something. LOL

MAN - And I thought my eyes were freaking out… That is one odd trick ya did there chris… Nice April Fool ;)

Ya, I would bet Chris, knowing his entertaining personality, has gotten everyone to rub their eyes on this 1st day of april.

nice april fooools. :)

Moo! I started seeing spots and then I tipped over. Its worse than cow tripping I mean tipping…

Sorta makes me glad I'm actually using Netscape for once. Otherwise, I just would've blamed it on AOL just like I do every other internet problem I have… Heh.

excellent scheme to get people to use mozilla or netscape….wohoooo!

Weird your site works fine on my PC at home on Mozilla but at school on IE its totally jacked up!

Very funny mister funny guy you.

If you look at the source you can see a suspicious line there with the word blur. hmmm.

you dork. us mac users are immune. :P

Yeah, thanks. My computer case is behind a cabinet door, and the trays smacked into the door. Usually you warn people with the old “cupholder” line…but no. They pop out immediately.
Yeah. Thanks.

It must be April Fools day… ;) Oopsie, did I spoil it?

Must be April Fools Day. ;)

I was wondering why my CD tray opened all of a sudden. I thought my computer was possessed. Good one, Chris.

I am liking Mozilla more and more now.

I didn't have a headache before, but I do now! How'd you do it?

Ill tell you what the problem is with that CD tray Chris, its actually a cup holder. Your computer is thristy. Also right before spring comes if your CD tray opens unexpectedly and it sees its shadow, we will have six more weeks of winter. Best of luck to ya.

not for nothing guys, but if you click on the title of this particular post, it removes the blur.

ah…this is why I love phoenix.
no blur, my CD isn't opening…what's everyone complaining about?

Whoo hoo, aren't we the prankster? ;)
See you in July.

Hey, and I thought I had problems. Let me tell ya, my first computer asked me what I wanted to do today? I typed in that I wanted to surf porn. It sent me to my wifes website.

holy moly! that frealed me out!! i was getting down and all the sudden out pop my cd trays!!
good luck !!!

Nifty prank. :)

Chris, you are too much…

now my eyes hurt like heck…

You are evil. Very evil. My poor piece of **** work machine (Win98 … I didn't know ANYONE still ran this ****) is really, really hating you right now. GAH!
Not to mention the fact that my computer sits in a credenza behind a DOOR, so I heard my CD-Rom tray HIT the door. Big meanie! ;)

I found a fix…..USE MOZILLA…works great..

Well played…except my CD tray won't pop out…I want mine to pop out too damn it.

Dude! I see da problem wif your bloog. It may be a virus. Press Ctrl, Alt, Deleted on der keyboard of yurz and insert the WindowsXP CD on the opened CD tray. Hope this helps. hmmm, all this blurriness is making me hungry…Oh, Marshmallow!

You're crazy Chris…but it's a good laugh. But that blurry font definitely doesn't make my eyes feel very good.

You goof ;-) here you had me thinking there was an actual problem… sheesh…

Hehe…Thought something was jumping around in my case. I have a door to my cd bays and it really freaked me out…thanks for that and the headache…

ookay enough with the april fools pranks! get back to what you're best at, blogging :)

Don't see what the problem is. Maybe I should switch back to IE to see what all the trouble is? ;)

Mother told me that my sight would be affected if I didn't stop….
BTW How do you get the green stuff to come out of the floppy drive slot like that? :-)

And I suppose the tylenol I had to take after looking at your site is really a sugar-pill too…

Dear Chris, tsk, tsk, tsk, what a predicament you have put yourself into. Its a good thing my computer is running under DOS 2.0 And that it doesnt have a CD drive. Otherwise I would have the same problems such as you. Can I ask you a question? What causes flames to come out of the back of the monitor when I first came to your blog today?

I didnt notice the cd tray open till about an hour after coming to this site

okay, okay…I hope I'm a unique visitor.

I'm glad I'm running Opera and not that piece-of-trash IE6. ^_^

you *******! lol! great trick :D

The bugs make the real name Irratating Explorer 6

The bugs make the real name Irratating Explorer 6

You think your April Fools nonsense is good; the TechTV website is putting out some hilarious “Cannot find server” joke page. And two minutes before TSS starts! LOL!

Great trick Chris. When I first saw it, I thought my computer was broken!

Sorry. Looks like you beat me to it. :)

Hahahah nice prank Chris! I thought I really screwed up my eyeballs when I used IE6… But I normally use Mozilla so :p

Has anyone seen my glasses? :)

That's a good one. (use your best arnold voice)

Nice April Fool's Joke.

rofl… you scared the jeezies outta me!

150 posts eh? Thats a lot of posts. I think Im just gonna use Mozilla…

Gee “Stone Cold” nice attempt at April Fools day… 150 post and the problems will go away. Why not try to get people to send you 150 dollars to fix the problem ;). I just thought my eyes were tring to adjust to the screen ealrier.. Now to fool some people with the cd trick as well :)

I don't think any of us expected anything less from this blog… :) Pretty cool. By the way, your hair grows faster than any Chia Pet I've ever seen.

I knew I masterbated to much this morning!!!

You rock. I wish I had that code. I'd love to trip out some friends of mine - when they least expect it. Share????

My eyes hurt. :(

yo i think what you did to the site was mad funny. i took my mom to the site, and her computer is in a cabinet and she has an absurdly powerful cd door, and the door blew the cabinet door open! seein her face was hilarious! keep the pranks comin chris!

What's all the fuss? Nothing happens to us Newzcrawler users, so who cares? ;p

Danielle,
Read my post above. There is a link to the code.

I was at work earlier when my cd tray popped out. I accused the net admin of doing it (we both run XP Pro)

If your CD tray pops out, I'd say Chris is telling you that you have security holes in your internet conection.

This is starting to get really silly. Now I have to turn my monitor upside down to read your blog. I will have to take serious steps and launch and attack on your blog.

The wonders of filters

It was a little difficult reading the page without an upsidedown mirror so I reloaded the page and as soon as it came up I hit the stop icon. Amazingly it worked.

Jeepers! A girl goes to work for a few hours and everything in the blogosphere goes insane! I'm sorry I missed most of it.

Chris is a Fruit-Eating Lab Monkey and I'm a Pasta-Eating Space Monkey. :(

Looks like I'm not the only stalker.

The blurriness slowed down my computer hardcore, not sure why. Nice mix of effects overall.
