I Got My Birthday Present Early
I’m always grateful for gifts, but I do have a few guidelines for family members who ASK ME WHAT I WOULD RATHER HAVE. I do have a running list of stuff I’d like to have but would never actually purchase for myself - and I also have a list of things that I would much rather purchase for myself:
- Socks
- Shoes
- Shirts
- Pants
- CDs / DVDs
- Software
- Food
- Books
There are also things I never would have expected to receive from anybody in a million years…
In other words: I was iPwnd by my own wife.

It’s not over. There is an iPhone VNC app that will let you access your PCs with your iPhone.

So are you an iPhone user now? Since playing with it, do you think you will need to keep your present cell phone with you because of the limitations that the iPhone has though I do know they will probably upgrade as time goes on? Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and though I thought you gave great compelling reasons why you didn’t get the iPhone, I think its good you have one. Reason being you are not a Apple fanboy and I always enjoy how you are able to take an idea or device and see all the potential it has and then question why it hasn’t reached that potential. All the iPhone fans or anyone who feels that Apple has taken the cell phone to a new level should be excited to know that knowing your history you will be asking, hands on, when will it be able to all the things Apple promised it would do and even more.

Ha… You’re sucked in now. I expect a full review by next week. ;-) Now if only Canada stopped ripping us off with their data plans, I’d consider getting one too… http://tinyurl.com/3392e5

You are so ungrateful! And it could have been worse: it could have been a Sony laptop with Vista pre-installed.
So, what’s your new phone number?

Congrats! You are now an iphone owner! :) I’m officially jealous (haha) but will rob a few banks and wait for Mr. Jobs to decide Sprint is worthy of an iphone as well! Meanwhile, I live vicariously through you and others. :)

So - do you like it?
I really liked your post about the reasons you weren’t going to get one, but I guess its ok if someone else buys you one ..

I would think you would show more excitement for receiving a birthday present, regardless of whether you wanted it or not. The present isn’t important, its the thought of the gift of giving. Think about the whatif — what if she didn’t get you anything at all and totally forgot your birthday. How would you feel then. I’ve had that happen, and its not a good feeling. Now I am grateful for anything I get, Thanks for remembering, my children.

I don’t think you can equate getting an iPhone as “the end of the world”.
Just give your wife a sloppy kiss and enjoy the phone.

LoL….. Chris, I’ll admit. When I first saw the link’s tag, I was a LITTLE worried about what was in the Video. But you KNOW Ponzi loves her IPhone. YOU know SHE knows you “hate” it. So, (Really), what did you expect??

You have a loving wife
be thankful for that and appreciate her doing things for you even if you do not like what she does
there are many who would be thankful for their wife to buy them a present that was worthwhile

Hey Chris,
Much to my surprise, my family and friends all pitched in and got me an iphone for my birthday as well (7/24) and I actually do love it.
I’m going to have to post some follow up youtube video for my http://www.iphoneplease.com site now.
