I Be Proud
You know, I don't talk about her much online (only because I respect her right to anonymity), but I'm really proud of what my girlfriend is doing this weekend. She's far from a militant, but she flew to Washington DC tonight to march for Women's Lives this Sunday. She's not even THAT political, so this decision kinda shocked me. Still, I support her rights and belief system. I'm not very happy with the way everybody learned about her, either; she deserved a better introduction. Those who know her know her well. Those who don't… are certain to post something innane in the comments thread. UPDATE: Here's the official Web site. Oh, and I never post comments on my own blog. Y'all need to chill.
GoToAssist lets you provide support to your friends or customers even when they aren't at home. By using the unattended support feature, you can fix their software issues, install their updates, or nearly anything else you would normally do on-site.

Hey Chris, I'm proud of both of you. Shes doing something for a cause, and your keeping lockergnome fresh and running. Both of you have accomplished alot, don't forget that! I'd like to know more about the girlfriend. She has to be someone special if you picked her out.

She's one kickass lady & I'm only sorry that she wasn't in town this weekend for us all to get together for dinner. Soon, though. Yoshi and I are still planning to swing by sometime this weekend, though…

Hello Chris Pirillo, this post was kind of touching.
Um, Mark, how do I sign up for GMail? I went to their Website and there is no “sign-up” link.

Girlfriend? I thought Chris was married! To someone named Gretchen. Did I miss something? Is this someone new?

Oh my goodness. After searching the archives, turns out I DID miss something. Feel free to delete my previous comment. I didn't mean to pry. What ever happened, I'm so sorry, Chris. After reading part 2 of The Pirillo Puzzle though, I'm glad things worked out this way. I'm sure you're girlfriend's as proud of you as you are of her. :)

“womens's lives” —–
wow. what would we do without happy euphemisms? —–
“baby's deaths” just doesn't have the same cheerful ring, does it?

Your girlfriend rocks! It's such an important thing to do, and if I could have done it, I would have. Women's reproductive rights are soooo important. Thank her. Thank her many times.

What about your rights ?
You should be happy that your mom didnt have the same attitude or you might have ended up in the waste basket like thousands of “inconvenient” babies.
You should tell her she is supporting MURDER.
Wise up, she's a pig

Here's a thought on abortion, how about you take responsibility for the fact that you had unprotected sex.
If you had worn a condom, or been on the pil….
or even go to the doctor before implantation.(about a week after the sex)
Then there is no need for biatching Christians and biatching femonazis.
I just solved all our problems.
And yes, seeing you (Chris) liplock some new woman on tv was not much to upset me, but it was really a cold thing to do to Gretchen.

Chris! :( I guess I''m one of these born again loons but for some reason I find it wrong. I find it murder. Even if what you say that the child is not alive is true what about the fact it could have been? Why don't women just avoid the process thus not having the issue :(

Right on, Chris. Keep on keepin' on. And to your gal, same thing. It's a fight, and the people posting the crappy comments above are who the fight is against. It's too bad the mothers that had the pro-lifers didn't abort.

Hey evan, did you know there are waiting lists for couples paying big money to adopt kids! Where are these orphans you speak of ? Good thing your mom couldnt easily run over to the Hilary Clinton abortion mill and suck your izod out when you were conceived. Its a crying shame how easy it is to get a “planned parenthood” tax payer subsidized abortion. What next a RU486 pill next to the Tylenol at the local 7-11 ?!? How many posters who support this crap would be here today if their mom could have had easy access to abortion mills and pills. If you dont want your kid there are people who will take the child and thank the lord everyday for it. Life is not as cheap as you may think. Just ask any couple struggling to actually have a child and there are woman literally throwing theirs away. Wise up.

“Kevin” lists his email as leo@leoville.com. However, leoville.com lists his email as webmaster@leoville.com. Yes, I know this may just be an inconsisty, and this is very likely. But you have to wonder about the authenticity of that comment.

Ahem. Dear 'right to lifers', how about this.
Why don't we work on fixing all the problems with foster care, and child abuse, and child poverty, and then when we've mastered taking care of our living children we can worry about the ones that don't 'make it there'.
Unless a right-to-lifer has a hosue full of foster children, or is working towards eliminating child poverty their opinion means diddly squat.

If that really is Chris I must of hit a nerve. I love how if I don't agree with you I am a idiot. If I don't think the way you do I'm a f*cking j*ckass. How mature is that. I never said you weren't entitle to your opinion. You run a business here. If I don't like the way you do business I go elsewhere. That my friend is America. Just like your girlfriend had the freedom to walk down the street in support of women lives. So now what the F*CK are you doing here.

Glad you and your girlfriend are happy together. It's easy to see that you respect her and her privacy a lot, and that's very admirable. You don't owe the public any sort of information about your personal life, however…if you thought your girlfriend deserved better, why did you introduce her all of a sudden on national TV? Whether they have a right to do so or not, when the public sees someone who'd always spoken of being happily married suddenly introducing his girlfriend, they're going to be a little shocked.

responding to those who respect life and the protection of the innocent with, “what about missing support checks?”, and “what about adoption?”, is like asking pro-abortionists, “what about mass female genital mutilation in africa”, and “what about so-called 'honor killings' of 'naughty girls' in the islamic world?”. these are issues that actually involve WOMEN'S bodies, and not BABY'S. issues should be addressed independently, on their own merits.

I disagree. Some of the what you call “not human” already have their head, arms, legs, fingers and toes, and eyes. It's a life .. a HUMAN life, forming in there. I dont usually get into these kinds of comments because we all feel differently. But I do disagree with those who say the fetus is “not human”.

Well Chris, I don't often read blogs — I can't even find time to keep one of my own, let alone follow other people's lives as well — but I came here after your comment in the latest newsletter to see what all the fuss was about. Seems you upset both the 'pro-lifers' (or is that the 'anti-choicers'?) and the Gretchen fans in one fell swoop!
I guess one of the dangers of posting online is that sensitive issues attract heated comments — and people enflamed by sensitive issues have a nasty tendency to say ugly things. Perhaps if a few more people took a long hard look at their own lives before attacking others, the world would be a better place.
(Cue cutesy music, image of faun frolicking amidst butterflies, etc…)

Well, think about this, the group in DC also were with a bunch of folks spouting that Gay, lesbian and transgender rights and abortion rights are inseperable.
I wasn't a biology major, but sure sounds like mutual exclusives to me.
And really if you put aside the tantrums etc, it really comes down to 2 issues
You either don't believe its life, or you don't believe its wrong to kill.
Unfortunately it is only life for some when it is convenient, other times it is a burden.
