Hydrogen Car Information Interview
http://live.pirillo.com – Ponzi and I had a rare opportunity to learn more about hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles with one of the automobile industry’s leading minds, Dr. Lars Peter Thiesen.
The GM HydroGen4 is the European version of the Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell. In fall 2007, the first of these fuel cell cars — a global fleet of more than 100 vehicles is planned — will be on the roads in the USA.
The HydroGen4’s fuel cell stack consists of 440 series-connected cells. The entire system produces an electrical output of up to 93 kW. With help from a 73 kW/100 hp synchronous electric motor, acceleration from zero to 100 km/h takes around 12 seconds. The front-wheel drive vehicle’s top speed is around 160 km/h.
NOTE: General Motors helped cover travel expenses for our trip to Germany. Without their direct support, this remote coverage would not have been possible. They allowed us to explore and cover as much as we possibly could, not just GM’s product line.

This looks interesting but how do they produce the hydrogen to fuel the vehicle?

Never mind how they produce Hypdrogen, how do they store it, and how much can they store?
What is the range of this vehicle with a full tank? etc. etc.

I used to be all excited about Hydrogen cars until I got educated by watching “Who killed the electric car?”
here’s the scoop/spoiler:
mass production Hydrogen car technology is DECADES AWAY. The boost given by the Bush administration is just a ploy by the criminal Big-Oil/Bush-cartel to indefinitely delay the phasing out of gas vehicles.
Consumer-friendly Electric car technology existed and was successfully marketed in the 90’s, no prizes for guessing WHO and WHY “they” killed it off.
See the movie, you’ll be VERY ANGRY. Remember that anger when you vote in the next election!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did GM say how Hydrogen will be distributed if it ever becomes main stream? I am highly interested in learning how they will make refilling your car with hydrogen as easy as filling your car with fast dwindling, skyrocketing gasoline!

Hydrogen cost to much to harness and it does not produce the same amount of energy in return compared to gas. Im sorry Chris Hydrogen is not the Answer.

If they can get it to work, and I mean work well enough for general public acceptance, I think it would be brilliant. I mean, nothing sustainable has been made for cars so when the oil runs out…
