If you’ve been longing for a way to watch television (live or recorded) on your iPod Touch or iPhone, look no further than Equinix’s solution: the TubeStick! No matter where you are, or what you’re doing, with TubeStick your TV is just a stick away.
You’re working and want to watch the news? Do you want to be able to see your favorite TV series regardless of what else you’re working on? Multi-tasking is no problem for TubeStick. Decide for yourself whether to watch your TV fullscreen or off to the side, allowing you to work and watch TV simultaneously.
Using Live TV, you can watch tv right onto your iPhone. Transform your iPhone into a mobile TV receiver with Live TV: With Live TV you can channel surf through all the channels that our TV software, The Tube receives on your Mac.
Live TV shows the current TV channels that The Tube provides within the same WLAN in an optimized resolution for your iPhone. And you can also change channels in Live TV just that easily: Just click on the small arrows to jump to the next channel or switch to a specific one.

Rough start to 2009 for Equinux – according to their official blog – they’re *still waiting* for LIVE TV iPhone app to get listed and become available at the iTunes App Store. Kinda rotten to be at Expo showing what LIVE TV and a TubeStick can do – but it wasn’t available to the general public for downloading then – and still isn’t now…

Why no mention of Orblive? It has been available in the App store ($9.99) for a few months. It can stream Live TV via wi-fi and 3G/Edge. I have had it a few weeks now, and it works really well when configured properly. I can view all of my Verizon Fios channels directly on my iPhone anywhere with no add’l data charges. I have had a few weeks where my usage exceeded 10 gigs downloaded with no complaints/warnings from AT&T.
