Hopefully within a few weeks, InfiniteSMS will be available in iTunes. That will allow you to send free SMS messages from your iPhone or iPod Touch. The App isn’t free, but the texts you send from it will be. Once the App has been released, I will be doing a giveaway where you can win this App for yourself! I have 30 codes to give away!

It’s really easy to use. Once you’ve entered your Google credentials, press the “New SMS” button. Then, key in any number you want to send a message to. Type your message – and send it! You will receive SMS replies free, as well! Messages won’t show up on your phone bill!!

You can send messages for free to any number within the US – even if you are traveling outside of the US at the time you send it! Messages are sent and received through Google using the Google Talk service. Your friend must respond. To prevent spam, Google may block you from sending to someone if they don’t respond after a couple of messages.

Now, as I said, I have 30 of these to give away. In order to win, all you need to do is to go to Twitter and send the following:

@chrispirillo I love sending SMS! http://go.tagjag.com/SMS

That’s it. If you want to be one of the winners of this App as soon as it’s available, send that tweet!

Nice app. I just tweeted. (i628)

im not sure apple will approve this, since there is a direct revenue impact on att.

hot dog!! i likes the sounds of that!

How do we know that InfiniteSMS nigerian site, is not just another nigerian scam? Wouldn’t they be glad to have you install their app, and then get a list of all your friends’ phone numbers?

The part about required reply is sort of confusing, but I guess it does help prevent spam and saving people from high phone bills if they don’t have unlimited text.

Very cool! I am surprised Apple or AT&T would allow this. Looks promising though. Hope to get a free copy :) I just tweeted it too :)

I love this new feature.

nice i swill have to try This!

I really don’t like that when people say. Free this, free that but that pretty cool

Wow this is gonna be awesome when it comes out because my school doesn’t allow cellphones in class but the allow ipod touches and they just got wi-fi. Haha suckers.

thanks for sharing great app

BS app. You can already send SMS’s for free with AIM. You can also use any app that does the multiple client services (Google Talk, AIM, Yahoo, etc). Or you can do it with any of the many many other methods that allow you to send SMS’s. If you want to receive replies, if you use AIM or GTalk, you can have the person reply to you through the IM client that you used to send it. There are just way too many ways to send SMS’s that you don’t have to pay for this crap.

Looks like a cool app. Worth the money, but hey, if I win here, even better! :)

i am pretty sure its not going to get into the app store for very long
as apple will removie it

Great Site!!

It has been released! Have the codes been handed out yet?

The app has been withdrawn from the App Store yesterday and will be unavailable to use starting tomorrow, no thanks to Google for disabling their XMPP access.
