Hate to say it but that is ULTRA slow. For something MergePDF can do in less than 1 minute, PDFMerge couldn't even complete it after 5 minutes!

No exaggeration, I promise. And don't ask me how long it took, because once I found MergePDF I closed PDFMerge.

Funny, that some people try to pretend they offer free software, while hiding the limitations in the fine print! We believe in offering excellent value and clear pricing.

Having spent decades at Sun, I understand that those totally immersed in technology are readily able to build their own tools from the free parts that exist. For the rest of the working world, looking for reasonably priced tools that will reliably perform certain functions to enable their business activities, a tool like PDF Studio can be perfect. Our global customer base tells us all the time how much they appreciate being able to download our software, run it on all platforms, and gain the ability to do what they need to with PDF documents, including merge files of various types, split giant PDFs, and more.

What about http://www.pdfsam.org/ ?? And it's a FLOSS one. Concerning GNU/Linux users, there are so many tools but I do like and prefer gs to merge and pdftk to split !!

I trieed the pdg merge tool mentioned and it didi not merge the file. Then I tried again with another file it did work! It seems that it will merge randomly or is it not in a stable status?
I need batch merge my files as a part of my workflow, so I found a good suff which is a desktop one, and I am able to merge pdf files in more flexible ways.
http://www.convertpdf.org/pdf-merger
It does decent jobs!

Re: David.

David, If you're on the Mac, you can try Batch PDF Merger which will whip though hundreds of PDF files in no time. The interface is very simple: drop your files into the window, rearrange them to your liking, and hit merge.

Can't get any simpler! And, it costs $9.95

Is there any software that doesn't cost an arm and a leg that combines up to 200 pdf files into one

Doesn't work for files when one file is positioned like landscape and the other one is positioned like portrait.
