Hey I have the BricoPack Vista Inspirat 2 installed on my pc to make my xp look like vista. i have tried the vista transformation pack and didn’t like it mush i found this one a lot better there’s just a few things that make it better, but it doesn't make it transparent around the edge of the windows but I found a program called true transparency xpcrystal and this does it and it’s only 1 mb. The only problems with this is that If u restart ur pc it doesn’t run automatically and the other problem is that u cant put a shortcut on the desktop that works.

Window Blinds is the best IMHO. Uses some resources but if you have 1G of memory and a decent video card you should experience no problems. I use the Object Desktop (includes Window Blinds and several other apps)which I have subscribed to for 3 years now (initially $50 and reup is $35 each year). With Object Desktop my GUI looks better than Vista or a Mac.

I've used the Vista Transformation pack before and had no real problems with it but you can do the same thing with some of the shell enhancment programs like windowblinds or style xp and there more stable.

I'm impressed.

Here I am, desperately trying to avoid a resource-hogging, graphics-intensive, alleged OS upgrade, and someone comes along with a program that will make my current OS look (and perform) like the alleged upgrade.

I realize I'm in the minority, but I don't want `the full EXPERIENCE' of an operating system; I want to operating system to *operate*. To be stable. To not require rebooting. To be safe. To not require complete hardware updates.

Maybe it's just me.....
