How to Improve Twitter Email Notifications

Twitter is a great place to stay up-to-date with what your friends are doing, and for them to keep up with you. It’s also a great way to meet new people. It’s nice that Twitter emails you when someone follows you, but you don’t get any information about them in the email. Some of us wanted – and needed – more out of Twitter. I finally came across a service that gives me SO much more than the standard email does.

Twimailer is a middle man of sorts between you and Twitter. All DMs and other emails from Twitter are sent directly to the email address that you provide when you sign up. Make sure you use the email address that is associated with your Twitter account. Twimailer will then send you an email address as your new Twitter email address. Why would you do that?

The notifications you’ll receive when someone starts following you are just so much richer with information. You’ll get their last ten tweets, how many followers they have, their bio, etc. All of this is delivered directly to my inbox for free, instead of my having to go to the Web to find them. Twimailer takes a few steps out of the game of trying to learn about new people. The emails will immediately tell you everything you need to know!

If you’re looking for a better email experience from Twitter, make sure you check out Twimailer.

it’s cool
i’ll try it

:)

I did not know this one. I am using Topify.com it looks similar but with more functionnalities (for example email DM or follow back from email without going to twitter.com)

You might want to warn your readers that the whole Twimailer application along with the user base was sold to someone from Romania, who now wants to sell the service again (or just close it). You can read more info on our blog – http://blog.topify.com/post/93778646/acquiringcompetition

Besides that there’re a lot of reports on Twitter from Twimailer users that their notifications aren’t arriving.

(Disclosure: I’m the cofounder of Topify, a better service + was approached by the Romanian guy to buy Twimailer)

Am using twittermail.com.
Will try twimailer and toppify and see hows it.
Thanks.
