How to Fly a Helicopter on the iPhone: Hellfire

A few years ago, I bought my dad a PSP, and he really enjoys playing games on it. I haven’t really shown him any games on the iPhone. He’ll never get an iPhone – but he may get an iPod Touch! This is one game I cannot wait to show him… it’s Hellfire. You can fly a helicopter all around your iPhone!

Hellfire allows players to choose two different types of helicopter gunships with a range of different weapons to battle the enemy and rescue prisoners of war. Using the accelerometer-based control method, pilots can manoeuvre their helicopter both left and right and to tilt to speed up and slow down. Hellfire players can select from individual missions in 16 locations or undertake a full campaign in a number of different territories. The game also includes 4 different difficulty ranks offering players an increasing challenge as their helicopter skills progress.

Choose your alliance – USSR or USA. Choose your helicopter and read about your mission. The game is in excellent 3D graphics. It’s easy to figure out and play, and you can literally get lost within the game for hours, trying to complete your missions! The features include:

• 16 Worldwide missions to complete, including multiple objectives per mission.
• Choice of full Campaign or single Mission modes.
• Choice of US or Soviet helicopters, both with realistic weapon loadouts and capabilities.
• Varied gameplay with multiple levels of challenge.
• Combination of accelerometer and touchscreen controls.
• 3D terrain and enemies, along with high quality pre-rendered helicopter models.
• Dynamic sound effects and music soundtrack, or switch them off and listen to your own music.
