Oh, PDF you are so beautiful there in my viewer, but I cannot edit you! I have to convert you somehow to a format that I can edit. Or I can head over to a new website that I came across last night! On Convert PDF to Word, I don’t have to sign up for anything – and I don’t have to pay anything, either!
It’s quite simple, really. Just browse to your PDF file, and open it. Then click the “convert and download” button. And uhm… you’re done. Seriously! No, I mean it! It’s done for you!
There are a few other conversion services available on this website, as well. You’ll find:
- PDF to Word
- PDF to Text
- PDF to Image
- PDF to HTML
- Text to PDF
All of them are simple to use, and absolutely free. The next time you need to edit a PDF, just head over to Convert PDF to Word. Within moments, you’ll have a text file that you can work with. Things like this just make our lives simpler, and make me happy.
Let me know of other cool and free services you find that help people get things done.

Thanks for sharing those links with me, those will sure come in handy when it comes to converting files later on.
For PDF reader…I was a fan of Adobe until I found Foxit Software. Not only is the program free for download but it is smaller than Adobe and more features! There are Foxit Editors that lets you edit PDF files without any conversion! I saw it was great when the Foxit reader offers tabs like you see on your browser. But when I discovered the editor, I was just blown away!
After I discovered Foxit, I never went back to Adobe. Be sure to check out Foxit (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/products/) for other PDF programs :)

You can also check http://www.zamzar.com, you can upload any file and it will convert it to other formats…..
In the case of PDF to word is tricky because sometimes what it does is creates images of the text….
Hope it helps.

foxitsoftware.com has replaced all Adobe pdf stuff here. Just like Quintessential Player has replaced all Real player stuff.

Thanks, Chris! I tried this out, but found that it only creates a .doc that contains page IMAGES from the PDF, not editable text. :(
I wonder if the fact I’m using Open Office Writer instead of Word has any effect? I don’t see how it would, as the .doc format should appear the same in both applications, right?

You can also just use word or even pages to export to PDF. But this is helpful taking it out of PDF form. Nice find, very helpful.
