When you see and hear the testing for the Emergency Broadcasting System on tv, how do you know those colors are really the right colors? Maybe your tv or monitor isn’t displaying them correctly. I spend quite a while getting my displays just so.
Then someone “adjusts” it, grrrhhh :(

When it was first released I bought Huey from the Pantone company.
I have three LCD monitors used by five computers; 3 on a Samsung 930B via KVM, 2 Samsung 711T on one box, and a Samsung 710 MP (has TV as well) on a Linux box.
I do lots of photo and video editing so it’s important to have the screens display images as identical as possible. The Huey does a remarkable job in providing that. And it’s a close to automatic as you can get.

Another good tool to use is JScreenfix. It allows you to fix stuck pixels and reduce burn-in.

well my monitor is usually calibrated very well its a proview pro556 whenever i have like say 800×600 or 640×480 i just press auto for some of my games my maximum resolution is about 1024×768 its kinda good for a 15” monitor but i never have any problems calibrating my monitor if u have any problem go to google and try to search (calibration test for lcd monitors)
