How to Archive Facebook Data

What do you think about Facebook? When I first joined, I added anyone and everyone. I had to end up clearing out all of my friends, and changing over to a fan page. I post all kinds of links and updates there – often things that I find to be important or funny. I was looking for a way to archive my data there, to keep for all time. I didn’t want to exactly copy and paste into notepad. Thankfully, there’s a Firefox addon that will archive this all for me!
The ArchiveFacebook addon from the folks at Mozilla makes it exceedingly simple for you to forever archive all of your Facebook material. Archive your photos, messages, activity stream, friends list, notes, events and groups – right to your hard drive. You won’t have to worry about losing that “important” information you have stored within Facebook’s hallowed confines!
You never know… your grandchildren may one day care what you had for lunch today, or even wonder what kind of mood you were in. Now you’ll be able to show them, even if Facebook is no longer around (gasp at the thought!). It doesn’t matter how big the site is right now… nothing lasts forever!
Go ahead, give the plugin a try. Even if you aren’t normally a Firefox user, what would it hurt to install the browser and make use of this plugin? Until the other offerings come up with something similar, this is your best shot at being able to back up Facebook.
