How to Analyze Twitter User Stats

Everyone uses Twitter differently. Some people use it to do nothing but post updates from their web site. Others use it to converse with friends. There’s nothing wrong with using it for different reasons. It’s sometimes difficult to tell what kind of user someone is, though. There’s a group of people who have developed Twitalyzer to help us figure out who is who – and what they’re doing.

Twitalyzer is a unique tool to evaluate the activity of any Twitter user and report on relative influence, signal-to-noise ratio, generosity, velocity, clout, and other useful measures of success in social media. On Twitalyzer, you input a username, and it will return a set of statistics. Apparently, my influence has been increasing recently! My generosity is extremely low, though. I very seldom @ someone, and that is why that number is low. I don’t like to flood my feed with other people’s stuff. Also, well… I just don’t want someone to feel left out, or that I don’t care about what they are doing.
