How Many Emails Do You Get Every Day?

I bet on a good day, I receive well over a hundred emails. Heck, some days there are more. I happen to know people who get far more than that. Many of you out there indicate that you get anywhere from ten to over a hundred emails daily.

too many. most go into folders i rarely read or skim once a week. I’m guessing over 100 but hopefully less than 200. At work. Plus another 20 at home. - Laura Norvig

Over 300, about 30 of them press releases. This is not counting spam, obviously. - Andru Edwards

Can vary from 20 to 50 a day at home. And about 40-80 at work. Some days are much worse. - Kol Tregaskes

200 at office, and about 100 on personal (no spam) - clarke thomas

not counting spam, 50- 80 at the office, 10 - 20 at personal email acct. - Erin McMahon

about 60-100 …. - Saad Kamal

Not much these days (if you don’t count spam). Anyways, about 10-20 daily. - Daniel Schildt

I was just looking in gmail, figured there would be some kind of history graph thing, but I didn’t see anything like that, not even in Google Labs. Maybe this is one of those “Where’s Waldo” things- Anyone?

I did find a handy switch for logging out of all other instances, in case I forgot to log off the M.I.L.’s computer or something. Aww **** it logged me off the Blackberry

RE your question, we run a Novelty Sales website, so 100 easily, but gmail catches almost all spam, and the icky gelatin from the sides too.

Personal, about 20-30.
Work-related, about 10-20-
All in all, Including spam, about 900+ pr. day.

I actually posted a screenshot of my email inbox on my blog a couple of weeks ago:

Probably 200 or so in the work realm and another 100 or so personal. That being said, many are industry-related newsletters. My RSS feeds, that’s a whole other story…. you should see my google reader. ah!!

I get between 500 to 1000 emails daily, but before you consider this extreme I should tell you that my job includes server admin and email admin duties for my company. Many of these emails are system generated status emails that are automatically filtered to other folders or PST files. I use catagories and assigned colors to help me keep up with everything.

Personal email, I think I only got less than 10 emails/day.

Most emails in my inbox are notifications. :D

On Friday I received a total of 272 emails on my list and personal accounts and another 70 on gmail.

List traffic, and personal traffic for that matter, drops off significantly on the weekends.

I get about 20-50 at home. At the office I get around 30-40 daily. None of that is spam. 8^)

OVER 9000!!!

I normally get around 50. All worth reading. I guess I’m a lucky guy, I never get spam.

I get around 10-20 e-mails a day, give or take.

Work: 133.7/day average over the last 365 days
Home: 221/day average over the last 365 for all four email accounts combined.

* all figures w/o spam

I get between 200 emails a day. I mainly get spam but sometimes, if I am lucky I get some good email. It adds up when you have 7 email addresses.

At home 250-300 per week day about half that at weekends. maybe 10% useful - rest spam.

Work - several thousand - but then apart from my personal email address I also have webmaster@ , info@ , abuse@ and a couple of others that are re-directed to me as well as catchall. 99.9% spam and it gets caught by the spam trap but I still have to search through the spam traps for that .1%. Got good at it and do about 1000/minute

About twenty five between my four e-mail accounts. Many are just from Facebook/MySpace/Twitter, though…

Like most of you I get “tons” of useless emails daily but I have found a neat little program that simplifies this problem.
MailWasher and Mailwasher Pro by Firetrust has a program that allows you look at the mail server before downloading to sort your mail. Those you have previously blacklisted can show up (or not) and new ones are likewise categorized for acceptance or rejection. You can also read part of the email to find out if it is worthwhile.
The free version works as well as the Pro version.

I’m getting about 1000 spam messages a day between two of my personal mail accounts and a business mail account. Thank goodness for Google Spam filters, or I would be killing Outlook on a regular basis.

200 to 500 depending on the day of the week or the month, day, and season of the year.

With my new position as coordinator over a large tech project, it’s well over 50 a day which is almost triple what I’m used to getting, and that’s not counting the support ticket system I manage. I rarely get spam thanks to an awesome Exchange host.

I probably get around 200 emails a day in my GMail account not counting spam (and about 20 in my work email account). I don’t read all of those though, most of them are from assorted email lists and they’ll get filter automatically out of my inbox. I do eventually read though those, but its not a daily thing. I probably on average, respond to about 50 emails a day including work emails.

I get around 20 a day, I am pretty lucky that all of them are from lists on which I am a subscriber. If I lose interest or don’t want to read so much I just unsubscribe and usually it is no problem.
I do get the rare random SPAM though.

I get about 20 emails a day, and they are mostly updates from my YouTube channel. I also get the occasional newsletter from some of my favorite sites.

I don’t receive spam on my primary email address, but I get junk mail on my spare address (usually for coupons and sweepstakes results :P ).

I have a total of 8,873 emails within my Gmail. This is an accumulation of 5 years worth of emails. Did i mention, all my emails pour like a resvior into one spot?

I get at least roughly 15 emails an hour. That is roughly 360 emails a day.

i get around 5 email a day and every time i get a spam message i unsubscribe witch is about 5 time every 6 months
