It has the ability to * "measure the bandwidth of Internet connections and perform diagnostic tests (connectivity, ping and traceroute etc)". I use it and it gives me a good idea of my speeds on a good day, as well as having the ability of pinging a website without having to open a command prompt.*quoted from the Mozilla website.
