How do You Save Web Sites as Images?
Add to iTunes | Add to YouTube | Add to Google | RSS Feed
Go ahead – take a screen shot of whatever you see on your screen right now. You can do this in a variety of ways. You can download tools, or use whatever is built in to your operating system. You can even take a screen grab with your iPhone or iPod Touch if you’re using it. You can take a screen grab of just about anything, including a web site.
Go to your address bar, and type in: aviary.com, followed by the URL of the web site you want to grab a shot of. I entered my own blog after the Aviary bit. You can capture any web page at all, from any browser, by simply putting Aviary.com/ in front of the URL!
After capturing the page, you can edit it, add simple markup to it and save it to your desktop. It should work on almost any public page on the Internet, with any browser. It can even capture Flash.
It only takes a few seconds to capture, and then you’re presented with a ton of options. You can select areas, draw arrows and other symbols, crop and more. There is also an advanced editor, letting you add image effects and then save it out. I don’t have to export anything, or download anything.
All you have to do is add Aviary.com to the beginning of any url, and the site does the rest of the capture work for you!
