I’m not a big fan of All For Good because its functionality leaves something to be desired, but really All For Good is just an aggregator of links provided by a bunch of other Web services and national nonprofits, including VolunteerMatch and others.

To express “red flags” because of standard privacy language and support for the First Lady’s call to serve is ridiculous. There’s a lot to be afraid of in the world these days: toxic water, military coups, terrorist activity, etc. Can we keep focused on what really matters?

This makes it appear that Michelle Obama is endorsing All For Good.

However, the video, redirected from YouTube, is of Michelle Obama endorsing “United We Serve” and SERVE.GOV

Warranted or not, this raises a red flag for me…

The site discovered what it thinks is my approximate geographic location using my IP address.

Red Flag #2.

The ABOUT and CONTACT functions of the web site does not disclose names, addresses, or phone numbers…

Privacy: “Due to the nature of some of these activities, we may collect personally identifiable information that you submit such as your login credentials, name, email address, zip code, organization name and organization website. We may also collect additional personally identifiable information that you voluntarily transmit with your communications to us.”

“We may use your personally identifiable information to deliver requested information or contact you to fulfill your requests, verify your authority to enter our Site and to improve the content and general administration of the Site. We may use the aggregate information that we collect to analyze trends, administer the Site, track users’ movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.”

“The Site may provide links to other Web sites or resources over which Our Good Works does not have control (”External Web Sites”). Such links do not constitute an endorsement by Our Good Works of those External Web Sites. You acknowledge that Our Good Works is providing these links to you only as a convenience, and further agree that Our Good Works is not responsible for the content of such External Web Sites.”

I consider those statements to be predatory or irresponsible.
