I could spend all day on my computer checking news, email, social networking, chatting, blogging, watching videos on youtube, etc etc.
So what I do is give things importance, so start with what's most important, and if there is time I keep on going.

I totally agree and feel the same way.<br

Now days everyone faces it for sure but i think it's very hard to deal with it but for humans to deal with it biologically is even harder i think, because humans need to rest their brain to for oxygen refill. But as humans are already quite advanced in technology i think our window lies in nano technology i know it might sound little odd but i read somewhere that it's possible in the future to integrate an device to some certain part in your brain to make the processing and dealing with information easier as it doesn't' allow brain to get all confused.

Information overload eh? There are a lot of news that are published through many mediums, and many websites to view and learn useful information from. You must make your own decisions as to what is important to you and learn more of that information. This can be hard!

I understand what you mean about information overload. That's the only way you won't become overwhelmed.

I think the only way to deal with information overload is by limiting yourself to information, which sucks. I get frustrated because the information is not organized.Of course, with Google and other powerful search engines, anyone could find literally anything on the internet. And when you get 100,000 hits from one inquiry, it can be pretty overwhelming. This whole internet phenomenon is changing human civilization and society as we know it.But it is not the amount of information that bother me. It is the non-organization and duplication of the information that bothers me.

I do not get frustrated because there is too much information. Go take a walk, grab some fresh air...of course leaving my cell phone at my desk as well (damn you Blackberry!).I think it's a real skill to separate what you need from what you don't. With time you'll get pretty good at recognizing irrelevant emails, text messages, etc. Or at least you'll get pretty good at putting off those things that can wait and jumping on those things that need immediate attention. One of my problems is that when I'm on vacation, I can't seem to remove myself from checking email and taking care of things. Even if I'm not in the office...I just know I'll have a huge pile of work to do when I get back from vacation if I don't. Same thing on weekends...So, my 5-10 minute 'sanity breaks' I take periodically just have to get me through.

Sometimes I just have to walk away from it all. My favorite way to handle is with email newsletters, because they keep me informed without having to visit 20 sites to get the same thing. I think the best way to limit would be to just check the things you care about, but due to your exposure, that might bea little harder to do.

i handle the extreme amount of information that is out there by severely limiting the sites i go to to read about things.
