How Do You Cradle Your iPod in the Car?

I carry my phone with me wherever I go, including in my car… just like most of you. It’s not safe to lay your phone on the dash in case of sudden stops. I never really know where to put my phone when I’m driving. I want easy access to it. When I was given the opportunity to review the PED3-Auto, I jumped on it.
The rotating PED3-Auto with Car Mount includes all of our best features and a few more, truly versatile installation for iPhone and iPod touch that lets you decide.
With Car Mount we do not believe that it is just for the car. AdPad-VHB, our foremost recommended installation method, the double sided adhesive pad has extreme bonding characteristics on many materials as well as the slick low energy surface plastics found with most car panels. With the included mounting options you will have endless locations that will let you decide where to install.
One small downside is that you have to remove your external case for your iPod or iPhone, you’ll have to remove it. That is an oversight to me, as I really don’t want to remove my case. Other than that, this stand is really configurable. You can use suction cups or screws to mount it anywhere you wish in your car. This makes it nice, so you can make it conform to however it needs to be in your car, in order to fit your particular needs.

That’s really neat. Possibly something I may get for Christmas. I can live with taking the case off. And a back scratcher is always nice too =)

I prefer using Industrial Strength Velcro.
I plaed a large strip of the furry loop side on the back of my iPhone Case (the furry side doesn’t scratch you).
I then place smaller strips of the hook side on the car, where desired.
Thus I can then mount my iPhone on the car, WHILE in its case, easily accessible.
All for about $5.25

i usually put my phones in the tray provided with the car. Sometimes i put it beside my leg (near the center console)

Well, if you are driving, you shouldn’t be looking at your iphone or ipod for that matter. I have 2 suggestions, one for the iphone and the other for the ipod. For the iphone, it’s bluetooth capable so get a bluetooth device, either for your ear or for the car. Then, you do not need to remove the iphone from your pocket or purse. as to the ipod, if it’s music you listen to, why not just use the CD in your car and have cd’s pre-recorded. as a driver who wants to live a few more years, I’d like to see more people driving with their hands on the steering wheel and their eyes on the road. Everytime i see a car that appears to be out of control, going slow or weaving slightly, invariably the driver is trying to multitask by talking on the phone which is either being held to their ear by one hand or wedged between shoulder and head.

Wow, that review was absolutely useless for those of us who enjoy having the modern conveniences of their iPhone.
CDs? Are you kidding? It’s 2009…I enjoy having my music at my fingertips, and my e-mail, and my contact list…
Thanks for the sermon. I’m surprised you had the time…what with organizing your CD collection and all…
